Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration – The Wider World of Atari DLC adds 19 classic games to the collection. New interviews, vintage ads, and historical artifacts highlight Atari's underappreciated innovations and hidden gems.

Available from today (September 26), the Wider World of Atari DLC is priced at just £7.99. Similar to the main game, the DLC intersperses interviews, adverts and artwork with each of the 19 new games.

This DLC, titled 'The Wider World of Atari', will be joined by a further expansion on 8th November 2024 called 'The First Console War'. Both will effectively upgrade the standard Atari 50 release to the newly dubbed ' Expanded Edition ', which will also receive a physical release (plus a steelbook edition on Switch) alongside the second DLC.

A new paid DLC expansion will be released for Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration tomorrow, September 26. While Atari and developer Digital Eclipse announced this news recently, they managed to keep the contents of the DLC underwraps. Thanks to YouTuber MetalJesusRocks (via NintendoLife ), we now know every new game coming to the title this week.

Dubbed 'The Wider World of Atari', the DLC will contain 19 additional games alongside a wealth of new documentary material. We won't know exactly which games are included until this Wednesday, however, when YouTuber MetalJesusRocks will reveal the full roster at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST.
