Märzen is an Oktoberfest classic, but this season, why not don your lederhosen, smash your steins, and drink the original Oktoberfest beer - a dunkel?

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The Binghamton German Club held its annual Oktoberfest on Saturday afternoon. The celebration had authentic German food, including an assortment of wursts. Some Oktoberfest-goers participated in the “Bier Stein” hoisting contest, a competition that demands you hold a beer mug at arm’s length for as long as possible.

An Oktoberfest celebration is being held for the first time at La Villita this weekend. The free event will feature live performances, tons of German food and, of course, plenty of beer!
